Questioning Aesthetics, Culture, Perception

An Editorial Exploring Culture, Perception, And The Hidden Psychology Behind How We See The World

Creative Director & Editor-in-Chief

About the Editor

Mahasa is the Creative Director and Editor-in-Chief of Seteū Magazine a digital publication exploring and questioning aesthetics, perception, and the human experience through fashion, beauty, interiors, and modern culture.

From a very young age, she was drawn to questioning the world around her. As a child, she kept notebooks where she wrote down ideas and observations about everyday life — wondering why people behave the way they do, how environments influence our thoughts, and why individuals are drawn to certain styles, spaces, and ways of living.

Her curiosity extended across many aspects of life, from fashion and culture to interiors, environments, and the subtle patterns of human interaction. What fascinated her most was not simply the appearance of these things, but the deeper question behind them — why we choose what we choose, and how those choices reflect identity, psychology, and cultural influence.

This early habit of observation eventually developed into a deeper academic interest in understanding human behavior. With a background in psychology, Mahasa has long been fascinated by the ways in which perception, environment, and culture shape how individuals think, feel, and present themselves to the world.

For her, aesthetics are never only about appearance. They are reflections of perception — expressions of identity, experience, and the environments that influence how we understand ourselves and others

Style is not decoration, It is a language of perception

Under her direction, Seteū is not simply a magazine. It is a study of perception, aesthetics, and the psychology behind how we present ourselves to the world.

In addition to the editorial platform, Mahasa founded Seteū Studio — a curated extension of the publication’s philosophy, translating ideas of identity, refinement, and intentional presence into thoughtfully designed pieces.

Through Seteū, Mahasa continues to explore and question the relationship between aesthetics, identity, and the ways modern culture shapes how we see ourselves and the world.
